Grand Race to Promote Health & Lapathon Trials!

April has been a very health-promoting month for the staff at Arenas del Mar! A few weeks ago, Arenas Del Mar held their annual Grand Race to Promote Health! Organized by staff member Jose Palomo, the objectives of the Race were to highlight the importance of regular exercise, healthy eating and also to have fun through team building! The course included running along Manuel Antonio Beach in front of the hotel which is approximately 6 km. Members from the Maintenance, Landscaping and Management teams all participated and a great time was had by all!

Then, this past Monday, we had our annual Lapathon trials. The Lapathon is an Annual Race put on by our sister hotel, Lapa Rios, and all proceeds benefit the local schools in Puerto Jimenez, providing them with the funds to improve the schools’ infrastructure and purchase needed supplies for the children and teachers. The staff members with the fastest times were David (Maintenance), Kenner (Restaurant), Ronney (Maintenance), Ersel (Guide) and Priscilla (Spa) and each of them will represent Arenas del Mar in Sunday’s Lapathon!
